5 Day Mindfulness Retreat – Bedar

This is a 5-day light vegetarian mindfulness retreat held in Bedar, Spain.
The retreat includes yoga and mindful meditation sessions in the mornings and evenings.
Afternoons are free for rest, relaxation, excursions, or personal time.

Important Information

• The cortijo is not suitable for people with limited mobility

• For those with nut allergies: the cortijo is set amongst terraces with almond trees

• There is a friendly dog on the premises

What the Retreat Is Like

The retreat at Cortijo El Azahar, Bedar, Spain follows a simple, relaxed daily structure designed to support rest, routine and time away from everyday pressures. There is a balance between guided sessions and free time, with no expectation to take part in everything.

Daily Structure (Example)

Morning

• Gentle sit and movement practice

• Breakfast together

• Brief group check-in and outline of the day

Late Morning

• A second short sit and movement session

• Time to settle into the day at an easy pace

Afternoon

• Shared preparation of lunch

• Lunch together

• Free time for rest, quiet time, reading, swimming, or exploring the local area

Late Afternoon

• Optional sit and movement session

Evening

• Group preparation of dinner

• Dinner together

• Short evening practice to wind down

This routine creates a sense of structure without pressure and leaves plenty of space for personal time.
